Pick A Polish: Models Own - Flip Flop

Hello lovelies. Happy Monday! Just two more days at work til Christmas now, we're nearly there! 

I have a very unseasonal polish to show you for this week's Pick A Polish; Models Own - Flip Flop. I felt a bit odd wearing neon in December, but I always wanted to choose the polishes for these posts at random so neon it was!

Flip Flop is a neon acid green creme from Models Own's Polish For Tans collection they released this summer. My camera could not handle this colour at all, the colour is slightly greener in real life. My swatch shows three coats with topcoat, it does dry slightly matte on it's own. This isn't the easiest polish to work with, but I have come to expect that from this kind of colour. The formula is quite thick and it streaks a little, but providing you are careful with the application it evens out nicely by the third coat. This colour is seriously bright, it isn't a polish for the faint hearted!

I really wanted to do a watermarble, but there was no way that Flip Flop would work in a watermarble - it's much too thick. So I decided to do a watermarble with Sinful Colors - Snow Me White and Dream - Strengthening Base Coat (the only clear polish I own that I could get to marble). That way I could see Flip Flop through the clear polish!

I was really happy with how these came out, I am slowly but surely starting to find watermarbling easier. Even though they would be more suited to summer, they definitely lit up the winter for a bit for me!
