Pick A Polish: Avon - Midnight Green

Hello my loves. How is everyone? I went sales shopping today and I didn't buy any nail polish, I think there might be something wrong with me!

It's time for this week's Pick A Polish, this time in the form of Avon - Midnight Green. This is an older polish in my stash that I do tend to neglect, but boy is it pretty!

My Holiday Nails: piCture pOlish - Fool's Gold

Hello my loves. How is your Saturday going? I haven't done much today, but that is kinda nice sometimes.

Today I have a very lovely polish to show you, which happens to be the polish I wore whilst on holiday. I had great intentions of doing some awesome nail art for my holiday, but I completely ran out of time and opted for the gorgeous piCture pOlish - Fool's Gold instead, which is one of their collaboration shades with The Nailasaurus. I knew I needed this one as soon as I saw it, this polish is totally up my street and even though I had it on my fingers for a week I didn't get bored of it!

Fingerfood's Theme Buffet - Skittle.

Hello everyone. Thank god it's Friday, I feel like this week has lasted forever and it is sooo hot today!

I have this week's Fingerfood's Theme Buffet post to show you today. My last post in this challenge I posted in the wrong week... oops! I didn't post one last week so I should hopefully have the right week now ;) haha. Today the theme is skittle, which means a different colour/pattern on each nail. Skittles are not something I wear that often so this prompt challenged me a bit (I guess that's the idea of a challenge though).

Another Indie Haul.

Hi loves. I hope you are all having a good day. I don't believe it's Friday tomorrow, this week has gone so fast!

Today I have some more swatches to show you. I have been going a bit crazy with buying polish lately (even more so than normal), I really need to reign that in! But I thought I would share a few more of my purchases with you guys so they don't just sit in my helmer untried.

To see my swatches read on after the jump.

Pick A Polish: Picture Polish - Shy Violet.

Hello my loves. Happy Monday. I'm on a late shift today so I have decided to do a morning post for you, so I don't have to rush it when I get home from work.

I am back today with this week's Pick A Polish, this week I chose piCture pOlish - Shy Violet. This is a brand I love, but I only own a few polishes by them.. I think that may possibly change in the future!

Waterspotted Sea Shells

Hello everyone. I'm back from my holiday now, I got back the early hours of Wednesday morning. It was lovely to have a week away but it went way too fast!

Today I have a rather unseasonal design to show you, I did this a few days before I went on holiday so I was feeling a bit summery. I had also recently bought some seashell studs from She Sells Seashells and was dying to use them.

I started with a white base and then added a coat of piCture pOlish - Majesty over this. This gave it a nice subtle little shimmer, but it doesn't really come across in my photos too well.

I then did the waterspotting technique using Sally Hansen - Fairy Teal. This took me quite a few goes to get right, but I got there in the end! I think most people do it using a spray but I used this technique here.

I then added the studs on with my topcoat, however as my nails are very curved they didn't sit flat so didn't last very long. In future if I wanted to keep them on for more than a day I would use nail glue. But these still might be my favourite studs ever, soo pretty!

This design came out completely different to how I imagined it in my head, I think my waterspotting skills may just need a bit of refining. But still it's not too bad for a first attempt. It definitely reminds me of the sea though which is what I was going for.

What do you guys think?

Thanks for stopping by.
