Moroccan Skyline.

Hi girlies. How is everyone? I have spent my Saturday so far doing lots of nail art, but hopefully I shall be going out to see the sun after I have posted this.

I have another manicure inspired by someone else to show you today, maybe I should call this inspiration week as 3 out of my 5 posts have been copied from other people lol. Anyway, I tried to recreate this manicure by m_a_tom on instagram (initially I was going to enter it in a contest she was running but I missed the cut off date, oops!). This design reminded me of my trip to Morocco at the beginning of July so I thought I would give it a go and relive some Moroccan memories :).

I started with a base of Avon - Lemon Sugar and sponged the other colours in my background on individually. I didn't want the colours as smoothly blended as you get with a normal gradient.

The colours I used for the sponging were Models Own - Peach Sherbet, an unnamed Color Club Blue and OPI - I Saw.. You Saw.. We Saw.. Warsaw.

I then freehanded my design using W7 - Black. I believe the original design is stamped, but I didn't have the right stamping plates so a freehand attempt it was.

As you can see above here, I did initially try to paint a camel, but I think it looks more like a hippo with long skinny legs. So I scrapped that idea and went for the tower type structure instead.

Despite my questionable camel giving me problems, I really loved this manicure. It does make me want to go back on holiday now though (luckily I have just booked another in September so I don't have long to wait). I'm liking this distressed gradient kind of look also.

Where are your summer holidays this year? Let me know what you think in the comments.

Have a great weekend!
