Life In Lacquer's Nail Art Challenge - Blue.

Provided for review*

Hello everyone. I am feeling very under the weather today, my boyfriend has had a cold lately and I think he has passed it onto me :(. On the upside I bought a new car yesterday which I shall be picking up tomorrow so I am quite excited.

The next theme for Life In Lacquer's Nail Art Challenge is blue and that is what I am going to show you today. I was looking forward to this one as I love blue and I managed to use lots of lovely blues in this manicure. I also used some more of the Nail Stickrs* which I was sent a while back (I reviewed them here).

Read on after the jump for more.

I was inspired by this image for these nails.

I started with a white base of Sinful Colors - Snow Me White.

After letting my base dry completely (I used HK girl to speed up the process) I applied my chevron Nail Stickrs and got to adding all my blues :).

Using a detail brush I added the colours on in little blocks using the chevrons as a guide. The colours I used were Barry M - Blue Moon, an unnamed Color Club, Barry M - Blueberry, Barry M - Damson, Color Club - Blue-topia and Essie - Naughty Nautical (that one is more green but shhh :P).

I was really pleased with these in the end. When I first started these I was unsure as to whether I was going to be able to pull it off, but I think I have. Definitely not the easiest thing to paint and it took me a few hours but this was worth it in my opinion.

What are your thoughts? Don't forget to let me know in the comments.

Have a lovely day!
