March Tri Polish Challenge: Green, Blue and Purple.

Hi everyone. How are you all?

Today I will be showing you my first design for March's Tri Polish Challenge. The colours this month are green, blue and purple.

To see what I came up with click below.

The polishes I used for this manicure are China Glaze - Up All Night, Mac - Heroine and Essie - First Timer.

I was looking for inspiration for this manicure and came across a picture which had a blue background with purple and green lights.. I can't find the picture and it is hard to describe but I hope you know what I mean. I thought it looked really lovely and I thought I could recreate the look using The Nailasaurus' Nimbus Nail Art technique.

I started with a base of China Glaze - Up All Night.

Then I diluted a bit of Essie - First Timer and Mac - Heroine using nail polish remover and dabbed the spots on randomly using a cotton bud.

Check out the tutorial on the link above if you want to try this technique out, her explanation is so much better than mine!

I was pretty pleased with the outcome of these, they were really easy to do and I think they look pretty effective. I do wish the purple stood out a bit more though!

What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments.

Thanks for looking.

  1. This effect is gorgeous. Reminds me of peacock feathers.

    1. Thank you :) I guess the colours are quite reminiscent of a peacock, I didn't notice that!
