I have another Born Pretty Store review for you today, this time for a polish. The polish I went for was a bright teal/green polish which you can find here (no.3 on the site). This is the first polish I have tried from Born Pretty Store so I was intrigued to see if it was any good, especially since it's so cheap. I also did some nail art, because I can't just leave a polish alone :P.

According to the bottle the brand of this polish is Concept Eyes (a bit of an odd name) and the polish name is Star Green, although there is no reference to this on the Born Pretty Store website. This was the most difficult colour to photograph ever, it was showing up much duller and bluer in my photos than it actually is. I have whacked up the saturation in this photo to try and show how bright it is more accurately, but in real life it is much more green toned than this. No matter what I did I couldn't get the colour accurate!
Anyway... This swatch shows two coats without topcoat, but I would advise using topcoat as it does dry to a bit of a matte finish (even though it doesn't look that way in the photo). It is a little bit thick, and doesn't apply totally even but it self levels very well. Don't get me wrong though, it is still very easy to apply and it's soooo bright!
I decided to do some tribal style v-gaps for my nail art. These were all done freehand using Essie - Sunday Funday, W7 - Black and Sinful Colors - Snow Me White.
I was really pleased with this polish, it's not got the perfect formula but for such a bright polish at such a low price I don't think you can complain really. My nails were practically glowing when I put this on, I wish I got this earlier in the summer!
This polish is available here currently for $3.46 along with a few other shades if this isn't your thing. Don't forget you can use my discount code (STAX31) for 10% off your entire order.
You can follow Born Pretty Store on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to keep up with all their latest deals.
Have a lovely weekend!
