Hello my lovelies. I hope you are all having a nice weekend so far. I am currently waiting for the postman to bring me some nail mail!
I have some lovely stamping goodies from MoYou Nails to show you today. Now I am a newbie when it comes to stamping, I've read a lot about it but I have only tried it a handful of times so I was excited to give it another try. I figured that if a beginner like me can create a nice manicure using these products then anyone can! I was sent two image plates, a stamper, a scraper and a polish.
Read on after to jump to see what I thought.
I was also sent a copy of MoYou's Summer 2014 Catalogue, they have lots of exciting releases coming up this year.
The polish I chose was the Lilac Nail Polish, this can be used for both stamping and as a normal polish. As a normal polish this had an amazing formula! It was perfectly smooth and was opaque in one coat. I did use two coats here as I found that the polish did settle into any imperfections on the nail but that was sorted with a second coat. I reckon topcoat would have sorted it too but I didn't use topcoat for this swatch. I really love this colour with my skin tone, this polish gets a thumbs up from me.
The first image plate I chose was Plate 101 which has some cute little owls and funny eyes and faces. For this design I used the MoYou - Lilac polish as my base colour and over that I did a fan brush gradient with Models Own - Lilac Sheen. I stamped my super cute owls with Konad - Black and added a little heart with OPI - Innie Minnie Mighty Bow.
These owls are ridiculously cute, I love them!
The second plate I chose was Plate 105 which is a lovely, girly plate with bows and hearts. For this design I use a base of Sinful Colors - Snow Me White and stamped the bows with MoYou - Lilac. I added the dots in MoYou - Lilac and Barry M - Greenberry. I got a lot of compliments on this design whilst wearing it, I was really pleased with how it came out.
I was really impressed with all of these products. I only have my Konad kit to compare this to, but I have to say I prefer MoYou to Konad. The stamper is a similar shape and size to the Konad one, but I found the MoYou one to be slightly softer and squishier which I preferred. The MoYou scraper is a small plastic one which I also liked, it is easy to hold and doesn't scrape off too much of the polish (which I find my metal Konad one does). The images on the plate were well etched and I found it easy to get a clean image on my nail. The polish also stamped very well, especially for such a light colour.
So as you can tell I was really pleased with my MoYou experience. I would definitely recommend the brand, their products seem really good quality. I think I might have to invest in some more stamping plates, I may have just caught the stamping bug ;).
You can purchase MoYou's products from their website here and you can like them on Facebook to keep up with their latest deals and releases.
Thanks for looking.

I love MoYou stamping plates, they are easily the best I have tried! Never seen round ones like yours though, they are usually rectangular!
ReplyDeleteI've not tried many, but these are the best I have tried so far :). Maybe they changed their design or something? I'm not sure lol.
DeleteLove these! Especially the bows, the colours look fab together!
ReplyDeleteI love the dotted manicure with the bows!
