Hi lovelies. This is my final scheduled post, I will be home the very early hours of tomorrow morning. A massive thank you to my lovely boyfriend for looking after my blog's Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest for me (well at least he told me he would do it, so I hope I he has stuck to his word lol).
It's the third theme for Life In Lacquers Nail Art Challenge today and this time it is film or TV inspired. I have to admit I wasn't looking forward to this theme, call me weird but I don't watch many films/TV programmes (I'm always too busy painting my nails :P). In the end I decided to go with one of my favourite films from my childhood (who am I kidding, it probably still is one of my favourite films!). Finding Nemo! If you haven't seen this film before, seriously, drop everything now and go and watch it cos it is the best film ever (along with the Lion King). I'm not five years old, I promise!
Read on after the jump for more.
I started these nails off with a gradient using Barielle - Surfs Up and an unnamed Color Club. I then added my bubbles using Sinful Colors - Snow Me White diluted with polish remover and dabbed on with a cotton bud. The gradient and bubbles were inspired by this design by Asinails on instagram.
For my Nemo I used Sinful Colors - Snow Me White, W7 - Black, Sally Hansen - Fiery Island and Barielle - Rusted Vintage Boots.
For Dory I used Barry M - Damson, Barry M - Bikini, OPI - I Saw.. You Saw.. We Saw.. Warsaw, Nicole by OPI - Hit The Lights, Barielle - Rusted Vintage Boots, W7 - Black and Sinful Colors - Snow Me White.
On the remaining nails I added some little plant things using Barry M - Key Lime and Barry M - Spring Green.
This is the most intricate nail art I have done in a while, but I was very happy with it. Everyone who saw it could tell it was Nemo and Dory so that was my main goal. I'm loving the bright, fun colours also, I think it captures the feel of the film.
Let me know your thoughts below.
Thanks for looking.
This looks awesome!
