Swirly Floral Nails

Hello lovelies. I hope everyone is doing well.

I wasn't really sure what to call this design, hence the title. I was feeling a bit uninspired when I was doing these so I just sat down and painted and this is how it turned out.

I started with a base of Sally Hansen - Without A Stitch.

I added the swirl down the middle using China Glaze - Goldie But Goodie and a nail art brush.

I then added the flowers and other dots using OPI - Live and Let Die and China Glaze - Goldie But Goodie again with dotting tools.

It was as simple as that, so easy to do. But I still was happy with how these came out. I think they are quite appropriate for autumn, as summer is well and truly gone now.

Thanks for stopping by!

Flame Nail Art.

Hello everyone. I hope you all had a good week, I am certainly glad its the weekend again.

My laptop is now working again, yay! So no more stealing my boyfriend's laptop when he isn't looking :).

Today I have a design to show you which was inspired by this post here by Nail Lacquer (I say inspired by, in reality its more like completely copying lol). I haven't been following her blog for too long but she has some amazing designs, so if you don't follow her already go and check out her blog. You won't regret it!

For this design I started with a base of Leighton Denny - Prim and Proper. I believe in the original design she just used a coat of nail envy, which definitely looks better, but my nails are too gross and stained so I wasn't brave enough to do this.

I sponged on A England - And The Moonbeams to the tips of my nails, but I failed a bit at capturing this in my pictures.

For the flames I used Sally Hansen - Fiery Island (orange), Nicole by OPI - Hit The Lights (yellow) and China Glaze - Hey Sailor (red). I freehanded these with my nail art brush.

I added the black details with W7 - Black also using my nail art brush. For the little dots I used my Barry M nail art pen.

I top-coated and I was done.

You can sort of see the shimmer of And The Moonbeams in this picture.

Overall I was happy with how these came out. They were initially intended to look like flowers, but I don't think I captured that. So I decided they could just be flames instead haha!

Angled French Manicure.

Hello lovelies. I hope we all had nice weekends, I'm not loving the fact that it is Monday again!

Today I have a nice simple design to show you. I felt like wearing something simple but couldn't face being completely normal! Lol.

For these nails I started with a base of OPI - I Theodora You.

I then added the silver stripe at different angles on each nail, using the brush from the polish. I used an unnamed W7 silver.

I then added the colours to the tips, again using the brushes from the bottle. The green is Essie - Naughty Nautical and the purple is MAC - Heroine.

I added a topcoat and I was done.

I got a lot of compliments whilst wearing this. Plus it was nice to do a design only using the polish brushes, less tidying up for me!

How do you do your nails when you are feeling something simple?

Thanks for looking.

Galaxy Nails!

Hello everyone. Its finally the weekend, I hope everyone has a good one! :)

I've had a bit of a disaster this week, my laptop died on me :(. I am writing this post up on my boyfriend's laptop at the moment, but he is self employed and uses this for work so I can't steal it too much. So my posts may be a bit slow until I get my one fixed. Hopefully it won't take too long, I have so many things I want to share!

Anyway, enough of that. Today I have my first attempt at galaxy nails to show you. I have been meaning to do these forever and FINALLY got round to doing them. I personally really enjoyed wearing them.

I can't remember exactly all the polishes I used for this.. I was stupid and forgot to write them down. I believe I started with W7 - Black as a base.

I then sponged on Essie - Aruba Blue, Topshop - Moondance and I think the pink is an unnamed W7 which I got in a set.

Then I added some dots with a white creme (I can't remember which one) and fished a few bits of glitter out of OPI - Which Is Witch? and placed these on my nails. I was hoping they would give it more sparkle but unfortunately they kinda just looked the same as the white dots. Oh well.

As always, I finished it off with a coat of Seche Vite.

I had a lot of fun doing these, I definitely think I'll try them again. Maybe with some different colours, I really like the pastel ones The Nailasaurus did here.

Have you ever tried galaxy nails?

Thanks for looking!

Lost On Lombard Striping Tape Nails.

Hello my loves, how are we all today?

Today I have some nail art to show you using one of my new OPI polishes to show you. I hadn't done any nail art using striping tape for a while so I thought I would do something using that too.

Apologies for the terrible photos, the lighting wasn't co-operating whilst I was doing these. My photography set up is something I am working on so hopefully I should be rid of these issues soon :).

For these nails I started with a base of Butter London - Billy No Mates on all of my nails.

Once that was completely dry I applied the striping tape onto my nails and painted over a coat of OPI - Lost On Lombard. I had forgotten how fiddly striping tape could be!

Finally I added a gold stud to each nail and finished off with a coat of Seche Vite. Unfortunately it decided to shrink at my cuticles :(.. if it weren't for that issue Seche Vite would be the perfect topcoat in my opinion.

I did quite like this design, its nice to keep things simple sometimes.
