Pretty Purples

Hello, I hope everyone is having a good day. Today is my only day off this week so I have been relaxing this morning but I am viewing a flat later - very excited!

Today I have some nail art to show you. I recently bought a bottle of OPI - You're Such A Budapest and I just had to use it. I am quite pleased with how this design turned out, but I think I could have done the triangle half moons a bit neater. But I will work on that next time I do something similar.

Random Swatch: Ciate - Strawberry Milkshake

Good evening, I hope everyone has had a good day. Mine was okay, I had work but I have a day off tomorrow which I am looking forward to.

Tonight I have another swatch to show you which is Ciate - Strawberry Milkshake. This is a super girly, light pink creme and its a very pretty colour. I got this in one of Ciate's Caviar Manicure sets which I was not really a fan of - I tried it once when I was going out for a meal and most of the beads had fallen off by the time I went out! Then I think I ended up eating a few of them that fell in my dinner and the rest ended up on the floor of my boyfriend's car (he wasn't best pleased haha). But I thought the polish was quite pretty so I kept it to use on its own.

For the photo I used 3 coats as I found the formula a little streaky, but it evened out quite nicely after the third coat. I didn't use a topcoat for this photo.

I felt like barbie wearing this polish, which is totally not my usual style, but I actually really liked it. The bottle is also really cute, although I had to rip the bow off because I kept dragging it through my wet polish when painting my nails which was very annoying. I don't know if I am the only one who has done this?

I do rather like this polish, despite a slight issue with the formula. It is the only Ciate polish I own but I would definitely try more of their products in the future.

Gold & Blue Hex Nails.

Its the weekend!! Plus I am not working this weekend which makes me very happy :).

Today I have my new Hex Nail Jewellery to show you. To any of you who find swearing offensive you may not want to read on in this post, as my nail jewellery is a bit rude and I would hate to offend anyone. But if you are cool with that kind of thing please read on.

I have seen a lot of other posts about Hex and when I saw them I just knew I had to try them. I wasn't disappointed with them either, they are the perfect way to jazz up your nails and they are so easy to apply and use. I didn't find they caught on things much and fitted to the nail quite nicely as they are slightly curved. I just stuck mine on with top coat and they lasted me 3 days, but I think if you used nail glue then they would last much longer. Onto the photos....

Easter Nails.

I hope everyone is having a nice and relaxing Easter, I am spending my day painting my nails and catching up on lots of telly. It's so good to have some time off work!

To celebrate the occasion I thought I would do some Easter themed nails. I knew I wanted to incorporate bunnies or chicks, but I couldn't decide which so I went for both :). I am pretty happy with how these turned out, I think they are rather cute (even if I do say so myself).

Polish for a pound?!

Hello again!

I was shopping in my local Tesco the other day and found myself drawn to the beauty aisle (this is becoming a frequent problem of mine) and I came across some polish for £1 a bottle! I believe this is Tesco's own brand of polish. While I do love a bargain, I was quite sceptical as to whether this stuff would actually be any good. But I thought for a pound I may as well give it a try, and here are the results...

This brand is called All About Nails and the polish I got was called Bronze (not such an inventive name). This polish is probably more of an appropriate colour for autumn, not spring - but I still liked it regardless. The photo shows two coats with no topcoat. I was pleasantly surprised by this polish. The formula was fairly good - it streaked a tiny bit but I often find that can happen with this kind of shade. It was completely opaque in two coats and was pretty easy to apply. There were a few other colours in this range and I would be interested to see if the rest are consistent with this.

Overall I would say that this polish is great for someone on a small budget. Slightly streaky, but for £1 you can't really complain.

Thanks for looking!
