52 Week Challenge: Geometric & Blue, Yellow & Green (Plus a Born Pretty Store Review).

Provided for review*

Hello loves! How are we all?

I've managed to get together something for this week's 52 Week Challenge today, and I've combined it with a review for plate BP-L004 from Born Pretty Store. The themes this week are geometric and blue, yellow and green. I knew immediately when I saw this plate that I would be using it for this, as it has some lovely geometric images. I decided to leave out the yellow and green in the end and just went for a blue manicure.

A2Z: K is for Kitschy.

Hi everyone. It's nearly Friday! I am quite looking forward to my weekend now :).

This week for A2Z we had a choice between 'kitchen sink' and 'kitschy'... I decided to go for kitschy on this one. I'm not 100% sure I've quite got kitschy down to a tee, but I tried!

MoYou Nails Review - Plate 115

Provided for review*
Hi everyone. Happy Saturday!

I have my final review for MoYou Nails to show you today. It feel's like I've been reviewing these plates forever haha - but I have really enjoyed trying them all. I would definitely vouch for the quality of their plates, I haven't really had many issues with them. So the final plate I have to show you is plate 115 and to be quite honest, I wasn't sure how I was going to use this. Hence why I left it to last! However once I got going, I really liked it.

Blue and Gold Skittle

Hello lovelies. This is a scheduled post as I'll be living it up in London this weekend to celebrate my 21st!

I went to a wedding last weekend, so I wanted some simple nail art that I could do easily on both hands. I went for a skittle style design with a blue and gold colour scheme, which matched the outfit that I was wearing.

Born Pretty Store Review - Stamping Plate BP10

Provided for review*

Hello lovelies. I hope your weekends are going well. I've been out for lunch with my parents and boyfriend today, now I'm catching up on blog stuff since I haven't got much done whilst I've been ill this week!

Today I have a stamping plate (BP10) from Born Pretty Store to show you today. I've got quite a few plates to review for you (I'll be doing a lot of stamping as I have all my MoYou plates to review too), but this is the one I liked the look of most, so that is why I chose to show it to you first.

Pick A Polish: Barry M - Blueberry

Hi everyone. How are your Monday's going? I've been off work today, I've been feeling terrible! I'm starting to feel a bit better now, so hopefully I'll be back in action tomorrow.

For Pick A Polish today I will be showing you Barry M - Blueberry. This is another one of their Gelly polishes which I love! This is one of my go to blues, so I have used it a fair amount before.

52 Week Pick & Mix Challenge: Domestic Animals/Three Shades of Blue

Hello everyone. How are we all?

Today I will be showing you this week's 52 Week Challenge which is domestic animals and three shades of blue. If you're a regular reader you will probably know what I am about to say... combining these themes was really hard! In the end I settled on following this tutorial and using three blues.

52 Week Pick & Mix Challenge: 80s & Three Dark Colours

Hi loves. Happy hump day!

I've got this week's 52 Week Challenge post for you today. I usually post these on a Thursday, but I'm juggling my schedule around a bit as I'm starting a new challenge tomorrow. Anyway, the themes this week are 80s and three dark colours. I think I have said this almost every week in this challenge... but combining the themes is so hard! I definitely do not think of dark colours when I think 80s, so it took a while to for me to think up something suitable. I'm still determined to combine the themes each week though, I am stubborn like that!

Pick A Polish: OPI - In The Cable Carpool Lane

Hi everyone. Happy Monday! I did a ten hour shift at work today and I am zonked, I don't know how people do that much work everyday haha! I think I'll stick to my normal shifts from now on.

For Pick A Polish this week I shall be showing you OPI - In The Cable Carpool Lane. This is from their 2013 San Francisco collection and it is a great autumn colour in my opinion - it's one of my go to's for this season.

Fingerfood's Theme Buffet - Autumn

Hello lovelies. Happy Friday!

I have this week's Theme Buffet to show you today, and this will be the last Theme Buffet post for a while unfortunately. Samantha aka Fingerfood Nails is putting the challenge on hold for a few months but there will be a fresh new start in the new year! I've really enjoyed taking part in this challenge so I will miss these weekly posts over the next few months but I'm excited to see what will come next year. This week's theme is autumn and the first thing I think of when I think autumn is tree's and all the gorgeous colours of autumn leaves.. so that is what I went with.

Distressed Chevrons

Hi everyone. How are you all? I have had a very long day today, but I have a day off tomorrow so I am looking forward to that.

I have a manicure to show you today which involved the melding together of two techniques (I felt like pushing the boat out you see lol). I came across this image online and I thought I could recreate it with a mixture of the dry brushing technique and some chevron stickers.. so that is what I did :).

Monthly Charity Nail Art Challenge - Hospices/Hospitals

Hello lovely people. It's nearly Friday! This week has actually gone quite quickly for a first week back after my holiday.

I have this months Charity Nail Art Challenge offering to show you today. This month the theme is hospices and hospitals and I have decided to go with Great Ormond Street Hospital. For those of you who might not know, Great Ormond Street is a hospital in London which specializes in caring for seriously ill children - you can't get a much better cause than that in my opinion!

Pick A Polish: Essie - Aruba Blue

Hi lovelies. I hope Monday has treated you well. It was my first day back at work today so it was a bit of a struggle for me!

Monday means Pick A Polish and this week I will be showing you Essie - Aruba Blue. This has to be one of my all time favourite blues - it's such a rich, deep, beautiful blue. I've used this plenty of times before and it's been on the blog a fair bit too. This is a polish I think everyone needs in their stash.

Fingerfood's Theme Buffet - Marbling.

Hello everyone. I'm baaack! I had an amazing holiday and I think I could do with another week laid on the beach in the sun, but it's back to reality for me now.

The theme for Fingerfood's Theme Buffet this week is marbling. Initially I was going to do a water marble but water marbling is not something that comes naturally to me - I have done a few water marbles in the past but they take a lot of time and effort (and wasted polish). So I decided to have a go at a drag marble/dry marble to see if it was any easier. I'm glad to report that it was much easier :).

Fingerfood's Theme Buffet - Inspired by Music

Hi guys. How are you all? I am glad it's the weekend (I think I say this every Friday).

The theme for Fingerfood's Theme Buffet this week is music.. and I have gone for the most loose interpretation on the theme possible haha! I browsed Youtube looking at lots of different music videos until something in one of them inspired me, a lot of music videos are very boring nowadays lol. Eventually I came across the video for Sing by Ed Sheeran and I liked the blue stripey pattern that is in the background at times so I went with that for my manicure (I told you it was a loose interpretation!).

Monthly Charity Nail Art Challenge - Human Rights

Hello everyone. Woohoo it's Saturday! I hope you all have nice things planned. I am having a blog day (again haha), but I still have two more days off after this anyway :).

Recently I came across this Monthly Charity Nail Art Challenge run by Sassy Little Nails in a Facebook group, which I thought was a really great idea to raise awareness for different charities. It's only one post a month so it should be pretty easy for me to keep up with too. This month the theme is human rights, which is a pretty current topic right now with all the conflict going on all over the world. The charity I went for was Unicef which is a children's charity, as I think children are often the most innocent victims of all this conflict - I can't even imagine what it's like growing up in a war zone so the work Unicef does is definitely very important.

Fingerfood's Theme Buffet - Science/Technology.

Hi everyone. An early post from me today, I have finished work already and I'm off out for the rest of the day with my family so I thought I'd post this now while I have a chance.

This week's theme for Fingerfood's Theme Buffet is Science/Technology, and I have to admit this theme stumped me somewhat. All I could think of was galaxy nails because space is like science right?! haha ;). So instead I went to my boyfriend who is a bit of a geek and likes science-y, tech-y things and he suggested DNA structure. After googling pictures of it I decided it was a pretty good idea so that is what I went with.
