My First Blogaversary Round Up Post

Hello lovely ladies! How are you all? I've rushed home from work to post this today, I have been planning this for a while now so I am excited to finally post it.

It is exactly a year from today that I first started my blog, and what a year it has been! I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of blogging over the past year and it's amazing to see how far I have come. So in this post I am going to do an overview of some of my posts over the last year and I also have a giveaway for all you lovely people which I will be posting in a separate post :).

To read on click below.
So admittedly I haven't been blogging for a year straight.. I started in March last year and my posting was kind of sporadic until May. Then I disappeared from the blogosphere until August when I got my act together and decided on a schedule, which I have been sticking to since :).

This was the first manicure I ever posted on my blog..

Look at them nubbins! Who'd have thought that just a year ago my nails were that short! I kept it simple for my first post.

This is my most viewed post to date..

My Christmas present nail art.. I'm not sure why this one has the most views, I don't like them that much haha!

This one is my most commented on post

My bird in the sunset nails, this is one of my favourites too.

Next we have my 3 biggest nail fails in the last year..

These bright floral nails I did in September had so much potential, but I was so disappointed with the outcome of them! I think they are just a bit messy, maybe I shall have to retry them. I have no idea why I did my watermark so big on this photo haha!

This nail art was done with the OPI - Pink Of Hearts set, I spent forever on this manicure and just couldn't come up with a design I liked. I settled on this in the end but still wasn't satisfied. I was clearly having lighting issues in this photo too!

Finally we have my textured gradient which I don't think came out that badly, but I class it as a fail because this is the most frustrated I have been at a manicure ever! I stupidly didn't tape my nails up before doing my gradient.. shimmery texture is incredibly hard to get off your skin. I literally spent about two hours on clean up, it nearly tipped me over the edge lol.

Now for my top 5 personal favourites of the last year.

I did this whispy, swirly design recently for a Tri Polish Challenge post. I love the whimsical feel of it and I am loving the colour combo.

I did this rose manicure for the valentines challenge I took part in, I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did.. but they were my favourite I did in that challenge and one of my all time favourites to date.

These fire lion nails were done for the Tri Polish Challenge in January also. I love this little guy!

I did the snowman nails for the Twelve Days Of Christmas Challenge which I took part in in December. I got a lot of compliments on these and I still love them.

Finally we have these tribal nails I did recently for a Copycat Saturday post which were inspired by The Lacquerologist. I don't often do tribal nail art, but I think these were a simple and classy take on the trend.

My bird in the sunset nails would also be in my favourites but since that was in this post earlier I won't bore you with it again!

So what a year it has been, I think I have improved a lot since I first started blogging but there is still so much more I want to do. For my second year of blogging I think I will try and do some tutorials and maybe even some videos so watch this space for that.

I want to thank all my lovely followers for sticking around as you make all my hard work worthwhile. To thank you I have two giveaways lined up to celebrate my blogaversary, I have different prizes for international and UK followers so don't forget to go and enter.

International giveaway - here.

UK giveaway - here.

Thanks for reading lovelies.
